Spring Newsletter

I looked at the calendar today and realized that I’m a bit delayed in getting my spring newsletter out.  I try to do a newsletter at least every 3 months and each time I realize it’s been 3 months I can’t get over how fast the clock really does tick.  I’ve been procrastinating on my spring newsletter because, frankly, as some of you may have been experiencing, the energy the past few months has been, well… let’s just call it “trying.”  As I read through Nasrin Safai’s past couple of newsletters, it helped me to understand what has been “up” in the world.  Nasrin’s recent newsletter came with caution about the energies of ‘anger’ that are very prevalent right now.  After this newsletter came out, it was only just days later we saw the Virginia Tech tragedy on the news.  I myself have experienced anger directed at me from people I love.  So many people are just plain frustrated right now, but as a sage woman I know always says:  “This too shall pass my dears.”  So, I’m here to ask you to join me in focusing on the light.  If we do this together, I’m certain it shall pass quicker!  After all, we create our own reality right?

I was in the car last Sunday morning doing my usual routine when I heard a song that caught my attention in the first line.  The first line said:  “Life is beautiful.  We live until we die.” I immediately thought “Oh yes, this is so my kind of song.”  The song is called Life is beautiful and it is by a band called Vega4.  When I heard this song I had an idea about what to write in a newsletter this spring.  I can tell you “spring seems to finally have sprung.”  I can tell you what I know to tell you:  Get outside.  Get some light.  Breathe the fresh air.  Listen to the birds.  Convene with nature and converse with the divine.  It’s what you need.  It’s what we all need.  But I thought I could also remind you that life is beautiful.  Even when we feel it isn’t, well, it still really is.

I want to share with you the lyrics to Life is Beautiful.  It’s a song about reality.  It’s a song about telling things like they really are and not pretending that everything is puppy dogs and bunny rabbits.  But most importantly, it’s a song about faith.  It’s a song about focusing on the puppy dogs and bunny rabbits.  It’s a song about accepting that we cannot understand nor explain everything in this life, but that simply – life is beautiful anyway.

The lyrics are what I’ll leave you with for this newsletter.  The song itself is beautiful.  The first time I heard it, I could hear God speaking the words to me.  I could hear God reminding me that there’s more I can see.  There’s more I can do.  There are more miracles I too can pay attention to.

Vega4 lyrics to Life is Beautiful:

Life is beautiful
We live until we die

When you run into my arms
We steal a perfect moment
Let the monsters see you smile
Let them see you smiling

Do I hold you too tightly?
When will the hurt kick in?

Life is beautiful
But it's complicated
We barely make it
We don't need
To understand
There are miracles
Miracles

Yeah, life is beautiful
Our hearts
They beat and break

When you run away from harm
Will you run back into my arms?
Like you did when you were young
Will you come back to me?

And I will hold you tightly
When the hurting kicks in

Life is beautiful
But it's complicated
We barely make it
We don't need
To understand
There are miracles
Miracles

Stand
Where you are
We let all these moments
Pass us by

It's amazing where I'm standing
There's a lot that we can give
This is ours just for the moment
There's a lot that we can give

Wishing you peace and blessings

Sending you light and love,

Leslie
